Meeting at the MOA compound bright and early, we'll have a rider's briefing before kitting up and riding out to slay the best tracks FNQ has on offer.
We head for the hills via the winding Kuranda Range Road before turning off into the dirt to ride a variety of awesome tracks including fire trails, tight rocky goaties, open grasslands and flowing dirt tracks, riding through lush pine and rainforests on the way through the bush to our scenic lunch spot.
After refuelling our bodies and bikes we ride on to find and tackle many more awesome tracks for the afternoon while making our way to a lovely old Queensland country pub in the quaint little town of Mount Molloy or “Mollywood” as it’s known by a few local characters. This is home for the night, quench your thirst with a few cold ones from the bar and there is usually live music to entertain. A classic pub menu will be on offer for dinner with fantastic hearty meals served up.
On day 2 after a cooked breakfast we will roll out to ride more awesome tracks, meandering our way to the infamous CREB Track. What an absolute blast this iconic track is, you've probably heard about it, now you're going to ride it. As we progress up the track jumping all the wash outs and riding through all the fun water crossings we aim for the breathtaking Roaring Meg Falls, with the chance to take a refreshing dip before riding on to hit up another belter of a lunch spot. Next up you'll ride the insanely steep and ever scenic Bloomfield track and visit the gorgeous Wujal Wujal Falls, all the while heading to tonight's tropical oasis accommodation which is situated on Cape Tribulation in the World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest. Here you are free to enjoy the pool, cold drinks, hot showers and solid meals. There's usually live music playing- you can party or just hang out and relax, quenching your thirst at the bar and talking up the days’ best tracks, thrills and spills.
On your last morning after another FNQ hot breakfast we'll ride off, heading south. It’s a cruisy start to the day with scenic riding along the idyllic coast road through the Daintree Rainforest towards our ferry ride across the croc infested Daintree river. Having done the road leg, you will be keen as curry for the next section of epic mixed jungle tracks, before hitting up one of our favourite little spots to enjoy a ripping lunch before riding out on the last gnarly bush tracks of the tour. We'll make our final ride along the hardtop for the stretch back into Cairns to the Moto Odyssey Australia compound where we'll arrive in the arvo for a cold drink before the crew part ways.
It has been an exhilarating few days on the bikes with so many awesome tracks, trails, tastes, sights & smells. You'll be on your way with life long memories of this one and dare we say it, be back to ride with us again...
