Cape York Enduro Tour  -  6 Day Cape York Enduro Tour

CAIRNS TO CAPE YORK- THE ULTIMATE AUSTRALIAN MOTO ODYSSEY.

On this tour you will be riding one of our specially prepped KTM EXC-F 500's, while fully supported by our custom 4x4 truck.

Day 1. It's Saturday morning, we meet at the MOA compound bright and early for a riders briefing, then kit up and ride out to the first jungle tracks.  You will love the mix of trails ridden today - ranging from wide open forest trails to tight single trails, open grasslands, water crossings- then of course we come to the famously fun CREB or insanely steep Bloomfield track. From there we snake our way north to tonight’s accommodation at a charismatic country pub, enjoy the hot showers, cold drinks and live entertainment.

Day 2. We’re off and riding, passing through ‘Black Mountain’ as we head into Cooktown for a quick look around.  Next up, some awesome fast and loamy trails with a few fun water crossings, mixed in with the wild grazing country and long sandy stretches on our way to tonight’s riverside camp on the croc infested Normanby River, in the stunning and ever changing Lakefield National Park.  After an intense day on the pegs it’s great to kick back with some nibbles and a few beers while the Chef prepares dinner for you over the campfire and under a stunning gazilion-star sky.  Here is a great spot to have a flick for the monster Barra's!

Day 3. The ever changing scenery and landscapes today are unbelievable, it's also the furthest we will ride over a single day- a bit over 300km's.  We have to get our braap on, riding well off the beaten track along country lanes by the sea and wide-open plains littered with a few thousand massive termite hills.  We will stop in at Coen for fuel and a refreshment at a quirky Pub, The s‘Exchange Hotel before pushing on north to tonight’s camp spot along the edges of the River, which is on private property. This campsite is a hidden oasis that is exclusive to MOA and we are very privileged to have access to it.   Enjoy some free time before another hearty meal is served up from the open-air bush kitchen by having a swim and a few beers or even a flick of the line in the stunning crystal-clear waters here, it’s up to you…

Day 4. It’s a challenging yet super fun day on the bikes with lots of water crossings and gnarly sand sections.  We will ride a track you may have heard of called ‘Frenchman’s Track’- and it’s a wild ride all the way to tonight’s destination, Bramwell Station; Australia’s most northerly cattle station.  After dinner, go for a wander over to the bar and feel free to bust out some moves on the D-floor as there’s live music playing on most nights.

Day 5. You are going to get your feet wet today, guaranteed, today’s ride will stay with you forever as we ride the entire length of the Old Telegraph Track (OTT).  We get to ride all the spots you’ve heard about or seen on Youtube vids including Palm Ck, Cyprus, Gunshot, Cockatoo Ck, Nolan’s Brook, Log Bridge and the rest- such a rad day riding dirtbikes.  We will visit Fruit Bat and/or Twin Falls along with some fascinating historic WW2 wrecks before arriving at the final camp which is set right on the beach in Seisia, you’ll be grinning from ear to ear with delight.  Grab an ice cold beer and watch the sun go down over the Gulf of Carpentaria, these sunsets are insane!

Day 6. It's now Thursday morning and the pinnacle you came here for is about to happen- the ride to the very tip of mainland Australia, set on the beautiful water of the Torres Straight.  We head out and ride some sweet jungle trails and see the surrounding sights while on our way.  Then, you've arrived and it's now only a short walk to go, we trek over some rocky headland with amazing sea views before you will finally get to stand on the northern-most tip of our beautiful country and reflect on what you have accomplished over the past week- as well as get some prized pics with the sign, which is just the cherry on the cake!  From the tip we then go for a blast along the ‘5 beaches’, possibly ripping a few donuts and maybe some beach drags, before the tide comes in to wash away the evidence. Finally, we ride back to camp for an afternoon snack before heading to the airport.

What a ride, what an epic Moto Odyssey….
